Dress Down Days
- This week we will celebrate Spirit Week at Meredith! Now that students have completed PSSAs, it’s time to relax a little bit and have fun with their clothing. See below for the lineup and please note that we only request donations FRIDAY, May 12, which will benefit the Teacher Appreciation Fund. Other days require no donation and are just for fun! (This is a change from the original schedule, please refer to the information below.)
- May 8th – 12th: Meredith Spirit Week- Dress-down Fun!
  - Monday, 5/8 – Mismatched Monday
  - Tuesday, 5/9 – Outta This World Day – Wear a NASA shirt, dress like an astronaut or wear a shirt with the sun, moon, stars or any sort of space theme
  - Wednesday, 5/10 – Wear Your Wacky Pajamas
  - Thursday, 5/11th – Mad Hatter – fun hats & hairdos
  - Friday, 5/12: Twin With a Teacher Day –Fundraiser to support Teacher Appreciation Fund
  - May 26: Principal’s Choice – details coming soon!
  - June 8 (Thursday): Wear Yellow or Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness – proceeds to be split 50/50 with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

May 8th – 10th: Interim Reports
May 16th: Election Day–Schools Closed for Staff and Students
May 19th: Professional Development Half Day–3 Hour Early Dismissal
May 29th: Memorial Day–Schools Closed and Administrative Offices Closed
June 13th: Last Day for Students/Term 4 Ends
June 14th: Last Day for Staff/Full Day Professional Development

June 1: Play Day for grades K-4 (rain-date June 2)
June 2: Field Day for grades 5-8 @ Palumbo Rec Center

Pretzel Sales

Pretzels are available in the schoolyard for $1 (cash only please) on Tuesdays and Thursdays to benefit the 8th grade throughout the year. In case of inclement weather, they are available inside the school, outside the main office

Kindergarten Registration Now Open!

Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. Registration continues through May 31, but in-catchment families are urged to prepare and register their children as early as possible. If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2023, please see the registration steps here. (Click here for other languages.) More information and online registration is available on the district website.
