After a snowy winter, the Scholastic Book Fair is rescheduled, now happening Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17. Teachers and students will have an opportunity to shop for books and continue to cultivate a love for learning.

While you’re here, set up your child’s eWallet and sign up for a volunteer shift to help us make the book fair a success!

We could also use bags with handles for our student shoppers! Reusable, paper, or plastic – if it can help our students take home their purchases, please send it in. There is a collection box for bag donations available near the main office.

Set up an eWallet For Your Student

Convenient and secure, an eWallet allows students to shop without handling cash. Parents and caregivers should set up eWallets in advance of the Book Fair.

If you have unspent funds from a previous Book Fair, log into your Scholastic account and set up a new eWallet. Your previous balance will be available to transfer as an eGift Card.

If you have multiple children at Meredith, you will need to set up a separate eWallet for each child.

In order to make the book fair a success, we need your help!

If you have your clearances on file and are available to lend a hand, please join us! There are opportunities to assist classes, teachers and families as they shop, as well as to set up, clean up, and restock.

If you’d like to volunteer for the same time slot when your child will be shopping, please reference the Shopping Schedule above.

Share The Fair

Last year, our generous community ensured every child received a book to take home by contributing to Share the Fair! When you fund your child’s eWallet, you will see a Share the Fair option that allows you to contribute to this giving fund for other children to use.

At Meredith, it’s important to us that the book fair is accessible to every student. If you would like your child to participate but are experiencing financial hardship, please email Ms. Zaback at fzaback@philasd.org to ensure your child can utilize Share the Fair funds.

Online shopping will also be available both during and after the Book Fair, from January 30 – February 12.

Shop online here for an expanded selection including exclusive books, new releases, value packs and more! This is a great option for students who can’t find what they are looking for in-person.

Every purchase you make during the Book Fair helps Meredith, with 25% of all sales during the Fair – even the online purchases – directly benefiting our school!

All online orders will ship directly to homes. Book-only orders over $25 ship for free.
