No uniforms or donations are required. Costumes and fall colors are welcome.

Classes will have Halloween treats and activities during the day.

Grades K-4 will celebrate with a student-led Halloween Parade in the school yard beginning at 2:15 P.M.. Families are invited to observe the parade in the school yard.

To opt your child out of Halloween activities, please contact their teacher.

Here are some more details from Principal Brevard:

  • For many, dressing up for Halloween is often about being as creative, cool, or scary as possible. Sometimes, we try to make our costumes reflect someone or something we admire, but sometimes that can lead to cultural appropriation. As Meredith Stars, we can be more thoughtful about costumes. Thank you for ensuring we create and support environments where inclusion and belonging are critical!
  • All costumes must adhere to the following conditions:
    • Meredith School dress code rules that apply – no bare midriffs or “revealing” clothing.
    • You must be able to sit, breathe, see and hear! (No masks that cover the face).
    • Costumes cannot be culturally insensitive or promote the use of drugs, alcohol, or weapons of any kind. No, pretend “prop” weapons such as water pistols, knives, or swords.
    • Please, no clowns. Some scholars are scared of clown costumes.
