Hello Meredith Community!
Happy New Year!
Lunar New Year
I’m excited to share that the Art Studio has been joyfully preparing Lunar New Year lanterns to hang on each floor, along with two large banners that will be displayed on the first and second floors. This year we are celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse.
Each banner features a Cherry Blossom tree, and every student in the school contributed by creating blossoms using the element of color. Students focused on softly blending hues ranging from very light pink to deep pink, resulting in a beautiful and unified collaboration. I am truly looking forward to installing and sharing these works throughout the building.

Shapshots of Childhood Joy: The Meredith Mosaic
In addition, students in grades 5–7 are working on a large paint-chip mosaic titled Snapshots of Childhood Joy: The Meredith Mosaic. Each student—some working individually and others in small groups—is creating objects that represent joy in their lives, with a special focus on school and community.
Both projects have required genuine effort, collaboration, and dedication, and I am incredibly proud of the creativity and care reflected in our students’ work.
Warmly,
Mrs. Sonya Smith
